Welcome To My World

Mother's Day Tea in the Garden-

What is it about a tea party with family and friends that
charms our hearts?

Ladies please join me as you take a break from your
busy schedule for a few minutes, brew yourself a cup
of tea, and settle into a comfortable chair.

Let'
s imagine that we are all gathered in a spring garden
of fragrant roses and lilacs, seated around lovely tables
draped in antique lace.

Even if you are not a Mother, this tea party is still for you,
since everyone has had a Mother.

Delight in delicate Limoge teacups, silverware tucked inside pretty lace gloves, tied with a pink silk ribbon. Vases of fresh cut fragrant spring flowers brighten the center of the tables.

Come, help yourself, china and silver servers are piled high with fresh baked scones slathered in honey-butter, slices of pound cake drizzled with chocolate, assorted warm, chewy cookies, chocolate covered dipped strawberries, and dainty
 tea sandwiches.

Allow me to pour your tea, there'
s spiced Chai, double Bergamot Earl Grey, Raspberry Hibiscus and Darjeeling.
The aroma of the teas fills the air with a sweet and spicy fragrance.

The amber liquid flowing into the delicate teacups reminds
us that it is time to savor this moment where family and
 friends are gathered, honoring Mother'
s Day.

I'
d like to share this original poem with you that would be appropriate for all mothers on Mother's Day, written by my oldest daughter.

A VERY SPECIAL TEAPOT

My Mother is a teapot
She'
s filled right to the brim
With happiness and laughter
She always wears a grin

Her love is like sandy sugar
Because it is so sweet
Her kindness is a cup of milk
In pureness she has you beat

She'
s always doing for others
Rarely taking breaks
She tries to make everyone happy
She'
d rather give than take

To me, dearest Mother
You are the absolute best
In my heart I'
ll always hold you
Higher than the rest

Dear friends you have my permission to print out this page. Pick a pretty card stock in your favorite color. Once printed,
cut out this poem with fancy scalloped edge scissors. Leave room at the top to punch a hole. Put a thin piece of ribbon through the hole and tie a knot. Now you have a remembrance bookmark from our garden tea party.

I wish all of the precious Moms reading this a delightful Mother'
s Day!!

Warmly,
Victoriana Lady Lisa
